Watch The 2015 Mustang Hennessey HPE700 Crack 195 MPH: Video

On February 4th, 2015, John Hennessey of Hennessey Performance Engineering fame, hit 195.2 miles per hour in his 2015 Ford Mustang HPE700 at the high speed oval at the Continental Tire Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas.

The gorgeous black-on-black pony is John’s personal vehicle that he drove to and from the track for a total distance of over 500 miles. It puts down an impressive 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque thanks to a 2.9L supercharger attached to the already-capable Ford 5.0L Coyote V8, enabling the wild pony to sprint from zero to sixty miles per hour in just 3.6 seconds.

Outside of the supercharger, the HPE700 also adds other component, including CarbonAero splitters, badging, premium floor mats, Hennessey-embroidered head rests, serial numbered plaques, and a three-year warranty. Only 500 units of the HPE700 will be made for the 2015 model year, each starting at $59,500. Those looking to spend (and get) more have the option to add additional features such as nineteen or twenty-inch wheels, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and Brembo front brakes.

Now, sit back and watch Hennessey’s run.
