Bentley Awarded ‘Top Employer’ For Fourth Consecutive Year By Britain’s Top Employers Institute

As the saying goes, it’s good to be at the top. And if you are a Bentley employee it’s a great place to work, too. That’s because, for the fourth year in a row, Bentley Motors has been recognized by Britain’s Top Employers Institute as one of the top employers in the country.

The institute praised the Crewe-based, Volkswagen Group-owned firm for its “commitment and dedication” to the personal development of its 3,800 employees, in particular the flying-B’s focus on employee career and succession planning.

To further cement its focus on development, the company recently implemented an “upskilling” program, which looks to broaden and enhance the skills of employees by taking advantage of its master trainers through a new “dual education approach” for its trainees. In December 2014, the company also announced it will invest £40 million (approximately $61,576,000 USD) to expand its headquarters with a new Bentley R&D center, which will generate 300 new jobs.

In addition, the uber-luxury carmaker says it is helping to bring a new University Technical Centre to the area. The tech center will primarily focus on engineering and design and should deliver quite the education for the 14-18 year old students that will study there.

With all this investment and the new feeder tech centre, we can only hope Bentley will make more vehicles like this.
