Vaughn Gittin Jr. Sparks Spring Thaw With ‘Mustang Meltdown’: Video

Anyone who has ever lived in New York, Michigan, Illinois or the like will know that by the time March rolls around, you’re sick and tired of the snow and cold weather. The sooner the spring thaw can start the better, and it seems Vaughn Gittin Jr. is doing his share to heat the surface of the earth in his new ‘Mustang Meltdown’ video.

Mustang Meltdown is Jr.’s way of debuting the new livery on his 2015 Mustang RTR Formula Drift car. Gittin’s Mustang is like the pony car incarnation of Ken block’s Ford Fiesta WRC. It’s bright, covered in Monster Energy logos and is only ever seen sliding sideways at 100 mph with smoke pouring off of its tires.

Gittin gets seriously sideways on a private ice track in ‘Mustang Meltdown’, which is how we imagine he’s spent the majority of the Formula D off-season. Him and his new Mustang RTR will debut when the tire-shredding series heads to Florida for the Streets of Long Beach event on April 10, but you can check out the video below for a preview of the car and its delicious V8 soundtrack.
