The 2015 Ford F-150 has topped the truck segment in the 2015 AAA Green Car Guide, which aims to rank 88 hybrid, electric or high fuel economy vehicles in their respective segments. All vehicles included in the study were tested and scored by the Automobile Club of Southern California’s Automotive Research Center in 13 different categories including braking, fuel economy, emissions, handling, ride comfort and more.
AAA says the 2015 Ford F-150 SuperCab Lariat with Ford’s 2.7-liter EcoBoost is the top choice when shopping for a fuel-friendly pickup. Thanks to the small turbocharged engine and standard Auto Start-Stop system, the truck will return up to 19 mph city, 26 mpg high way and 22 mpg combined, according to EPA estimates.
