We’ll get right to the point: the folks at Motor Trend have put the V10-powered, 610-horsepower Lamborghini Huracán through its paces and have produced a 15-minute video about it. An awesome, well-executed 15-minute video.
To begin, host Jonny Lieberman poses a question that has dogged Lamborghini since its inception: “Can this Lambo’ finally live up to its looks?” As he later remarks, the original Lamborghini poster child — the Countach — drove like a pig. Though Lieberman is smitten with the Huracán’s design, saying “there isn’t a bad angle…it’s a knock-out design,” his remarks fly in the face of some other publications, which have denounced the Huracán for looking far too tame. We’d chalk it up to subjective opinion.
So, has Lamborghini finally unseated its direct rival, Ferrari, in looks and driving pedigree? Let’s just say the 488 GTB better be damn good. In the meantime, crank up your speakers, grab some popcorn and enjoy the very last naturally-aspirated “entry-level super-car” on the market.
