Porsche Factory Driver Mark Webber Spotted Filming A Promo: Video

When he’s not busy being the coolest Aussie ever to grace the track in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Mark Webber likely has plenty of desirable, high-profile side jobs to fall back on.

Most recently, he was spied behind the wheel of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, though on the agenda certainly was not setting a new official lap-time in the monstrously potent sportscar.

Instead, as Autoblog reports, it would seem that former Formula One Driver Mark Webber was simply engaged for a day of movie magic, driving the 911 GT3 RS on camera for what we presume will be an official PR video from the automaker. In the video below, the folks at Bridge to Gantry managed to catch the esteemed Mr. Mark Webber on tape, lapping the famous circuit in a Lava Orange Porsche 911 GT3 RS – albeit rather slowly, with action cameras placed just about anywhere there’s a clean mating surface.

Since the debut of the Porsche “Paparazzi” ad featuring the 911 GT3 RS, we had assumed that the manufacturer had pretty much closed out all of their important PR work regarding the car. But one doesn’t exactly get Mark Webber involved unless there’s some legitimate need for an important face.
