The Porsche Panamera Edition Goes On A Timelapse Road Journey: Video

Since the Porsche Panamera luxury sedan first launched as the ugly duckling in the Stuttgart automaker’s lineup, its looks were significantly improved by its 2014 model year facelift.

But perhaps best-looking of all existing Porsche Panamera variants – besides the Exclusive Series, which you will never, ever own – is this Porsche Panamera Edition.

Heading to Germany this June, and other major markets soon thereafter, the Porsche Panamera Edition will get a small power bump to 310 HP in its V6-equipped rear-wheel and all-wheel drive versions. The Panamera Diesel Edition gets a much more meaningful, 50 HP increase, bringing it up to 300 HP.

This video from the manufacturer is meant to convey both the sportscar performance – and the luxury sedan comfort – imparted to the new Porsche Panamera Edition. Says the marque on their official YouTube page: “The new Porsche Panamera Edition is the perfect car to cover great distances.” To illustrate this, an actor hops in the special new Edition car and drives non-stop from Valencia to Málaga, Spain – a distance of about 620 km, or 385 miles.

Between the power boost and other special changes lent to the Porsche Panamera Edition – a delightful two-tone leather interior, exclusive floor mats, a Bose audio system – it ought to indeed be a fine place to sit for a long haul.
