2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Sees New Appearance Packages, SYNC 3 Infotainment

With the first model year of the Ford Mustang EcoBoost coming to an end, Ford is giving the turbocharged pony several notable updates for the 2016 model year.

Just like the 2016 Mustang GT, 2016 Mustang EcoBoost buyers can opt for the optional painted black roof, which was last seen on the Mustang Boss 302.

In addition, the 2016 Mustang EcoBoost also offers over-the-top racing stripes directly from the factory. Available on most color and trim packages, the stripes are offered in black or silver.

Rounding out the exterior appearance changes is the return of the pony package, which adds unique 19-inch polished aluminum wheels and the tri-bar pony logo on the grille, side stripe and chrome window surround.

Inside, the 2016 Mustang EcoBoost adds Ford’s next-generation SYNC 3 infotainment system. Available for any 2016 Mustang in the Premium trim level, the completely-overhauled SYNC 3 features a faster, more intuitive, easier to use interface, improved voice command and AppLink functionality.

We will update this page as we find out what other changes are in store for the 2016 Mustang EcoBoost.
