All-New Mercedes-Benz GLC To Be 19 Percent More Fuel Efficient, Feature Multi-Chamber Air Suspension

Having released a teaser sketch of the all-new GLC Class ahead of its reveal on June 17, Mercedes-Benz has also graced us with some details of its new GLK-replacing C-segment crossover.

According to Mercedes, the crossover will take comfort and agility to a new level by introducing a multi-chamber air suspension called Air Body Control that will be unique to the segment, which includes such notables as the BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Infiniti QX70 (née FX-Series).

Other technologies will include Dynamic Select selective ride control as well as the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system. Mercedes says that the GLC-Class will also feature new, high-tech assistance systems and improved energy efficiency.

“Improved energy efficiency?”, you ask. Yes, improved energy efficiency indeed. The GLC will be 19 percent more fuel efficient than the GLK it replaces.
