Fiat Chrysler Recalls 72 Units Of 2015 Dodge Challenger Over Airbag Issue

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling certain units of the 2015 Dodge Challenger over an issue with the driver’s side air bag.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the driver’s side air bag inflated curtain (SABIC) may have a loose or missing rear mounting bolt.

The hazards: a loose or missing SABIC rear mounting bolt may alter the air bag inflated curtain’s deployment, increasing the risk of occupant injury in the event of a side impact or roll-over crash.

Affected vehicles: 2015 Dodge Challenger manufactured March 28, 2015, to April 1, 2015.

Number of vehicles affected: 72.

The fix: Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will inspect and repair the vehicles, as needed, free of charge.

The recall began on May 28, 2015.
