Porsche Classic Is Now Producing Faithful Reproduction Dashboards For The 911

If you have any hopes of seeing your classic Porsche model weather the ravages of time and remain concours-ready, no matter how long the car has been out of production, then Porsche Classic is the entity that you’ll be relying upon. Porsche Classic is committed to keeping as many vintage and historic P-cars on the road as possible, and they make recommendations on everything from motor oil to tire models.

And, as Motor Authority reminds us, the subsidiary also occasionally releases new replacement parts, like this reproduction dashboard for 911 models produced from 1969 to 1975.

This reproduction dash from Porsche Classic is quite moderately priced, considering the typical expense associated with Porsche ownership, at $1,353 before tax and shipping. It can be ordered through any authorized Porsche dealer, and it’s an exact recreation of the early 911’s factory dashboard – except when it comes to fit, finish, and materials. Because of course, while you’re taking out your car’s original dashboard, you might as well replace it with the highest quality, most resilient materials.

Porsche Classic does note that the removal procedure for the 1969-75 Porsche 911 requires the windshield be uninstalled, making it a bit of a complicated procedure for the average do-it-yourselfer. As such, they recommend seeking out an authorized Porsche Classic partner for dash replacement.
