Watch The 2016 Bentley Bentayga Test In Nürburg, Germany: Spy Video

The long-awaited 2016 Bentley Bentayga SUV has recently been spied, testing around the Nürburgring and the surrounding town, and guess what. It’s wearing its birthday suit.

The new Bentley Bentayga SUV is expected to officially break cover at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September of this year. Needless to say, it ought to look more or less exactly like what you see in the video (available for viewing over on Motor Authority‘s official YouTube channel). The characteristic Bentley diamond-shaped grille is clearly present, while the trademark double-cannon headlamps are less segregated, sharing a common cover. The vehicle also has an intriguing triple-boomerang sort of graphic sitting just before the rear wheel arches, whose sharp, thin lines are echoed vaguely by other details like the taillight graphics and rear chrome trim.

The 2016 Bentley Bentayga will have full-time all-wheel drive, and rides on the same platform as the latest Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, and Volkswagen Touareg – dubbed “MLB,” presumably because Germans love American baseball. The Lamborghini Urus SUV will also utilize the same.

The Bentley Bentayga perhaps marks a bit of a turning point for the luxury British car marque, as it’s the brand’s very first foray into a new, historically lucrative, segment. We can’t wait to see the crossover begin to trickle onto American roads.
