Bentley To Debut 2016 Continental GT At Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

The 2016 Bentley Continental GT will make its North American debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this weekend, the British luxury automaker has announced The updated grand touring car will be shown alongside several other significant Bentleys from the company’s past and future, including the 1931 Two-Seater Sports and the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept, among others.

For the 2016 model year, Bentley applied several minor changes and updates to the Continental. The front and rear bumpers have been slightly adjusted, new 20- and 21-inch wheel options are on offer, and the 6.0-liter W12 has been given a mild power and torque increase from 567 horsepower and 516 lb-ft to 582 horsepower and 531 lb-ft.

In addition to the 2016 Continental, Bentley will also bring the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept to Pebble Beach to remind show goers of where the automaker is headed in coming years. From the company’s past will be the 1930 Bentley Blower, which will appear along more modern day Bentley models such as the Continental GT3 R, Mulsanne Speed and 2016 Flying Spur.

“The future of Bentley is now, and Pebble Beach is the perfect backdrop to showcase the new Continental GT alongside gems from our past and concepts for our exciting future,” said Bentley CEO Michael Winkler. “The new Continental GT is a testament to Bentley trademarks of luxury and performance and we’re excited to share it with friends of Bentley during this gathering of fine automobiles.”
