2016 Ford Focus RS Configurator Goes Live

This week Ford revealed its 2016 Focus RS would start at $36,605 including destination, however they had yet to release an options list, so we didn’t know how expensive the super-hot hatch would be if fully optioned up.

Now Ford has posted the 2016 Focus RS configurator to its website, though, allowing us to build our own Focus RS and also view the entire list of optional extras.

For the performance enthusiasts that will flock to this type of car, the most important Focus RS add-on may be the 19-inch forged alloy wheel and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Together they cost $1,990, however you may option just the forged wheels for $1,395.

Interior options include leather Recaro seats, a sunroof and a navigation system with Sirius XM and Travel Link. These options, apart from the sunroof, are only available with the $2,785 RS2 Package, which also includes an 8-Way power driver’s seat, heated mirrors, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

As for our Focus RS, we picked Frost White as the exterior color, with the only option being the forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. This brings the price to exactly $38,000, which isn’t too bad at all – especially when compared with a similarly equipped Mustang GT.
