Daimler Moving North American HQ From New Jersey To Michigan

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder announced Wednesday Daimler North America Corporation would move its headquarters from New Jersey to Farmington Hills, The Oakland Press reports.

Daimler already heads companies based in Michigan such as Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Detroit Diesel and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development. Moving its HQ into the state will create about 30 new jobs in the area.

“Michigan is the world’s automotive leader, and Daimler’s decision to increase its presence in state is another indication that we intend to hold that position for generations to come,” Snyder said.
The relocation is expected to be complete before the end of the year.
