‘The Rock’ Is Cooking Up Some Ads With Ford Service

Can you smell what “The Rock” is cooking?

Ford announced today that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to appear in a series of advertisements for Ford Service, as the leading member of a fictitious team of Ford Service Technicians dubbed “The Specialists.” The series of ads, destined for television, radio, digital, and social media, will attempt to show Ford customers why getting their vehicles serviced at a Ford dealership is the smart choice. Equipped with the best in diagnostic tools, Motorcraft parts, and know-how, The Rock and his team of Specialists will encounter and solve all manner of servicing challenges.

Securing The Rock to perform in this series of ads for Ford Service makes sense, says the automaker, as he happens to be a fan of Ford Motor Company already. Plus, the Canadian/American actor and businessman is perhaps best known recently for his role in the Fast & Furious film franchise, which is well-known among car fans.

The first “Specialists” Ford Service ad featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will air on television on October 12th, before rolling out to other forms of media.

Aaron Birch is an automotive enthusiast and writer/filmmaker from Detroit, MI. As a rule, he only buys cars older than himself.
