Rolls Royce Bringing Wraith, Ghost Series II To 2015 Goodwood Festival Of Speed

Rolls-Royce’s plant is just a short five minute drive from Lord March’s Goodwood House where the Goodwood Festival of Speed is held each and every year. That makes it their home event, so they don’t hold back when it comes to which cars they have on display.

This year, Rolls-Royce is bringing three different cars to Goodwood. The ‘Course Car’ for the event, usually seen driving up the hill between hill climb runs, will be a Diamond Black Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II decked out in LED racing lights. Interestingly, the custom aluminum housing for the lights was built at Rolls-Royce’s manufacturing plant.

The second car from Rolls-Royce at Goodwood will be an Ensign Red Wraith with contrasting silver exterior parts and a Black, Seashell and Hotspur Red interior. It will be seen running up the hill with other supercars in attendance and will be parked in the event’s Supercar Paddock. BMW Motorsport driver Joerg Weidinger will be behind the wheel of the car all weekend.

Finally, Rolls-Royce will have an extra special third car to show. The automaker donated a Ghost Series II to children’s palliative charity Together for Short Lives earlier this year and will display the car, which sports the charity’s bright purple color, at Goodwood. Later this year, the charity will drive the car to all four corners of Britain as part of its ‘Ready to Roll’ tour.
