Bugatti Already Taking Preorders For ‘Chiron’ Veyron Successor

Lately we’ve been hearing more and more about Bugatti’s rumored Veyron successor, the Chiron, and today more big news in regards to the mighty new hypercar has emerged.

Someone over at Autoblog.gr noticed wealthy real estate mogul Manny Khoshbin had posted a photo of him at a meeting with Bugatti executives to Instagram with the caption “Just saw the new Bugatti in person and wow the car is completely redesigned in and out! Blown away!” and the hashtag “#BugattiChiron”.

Khoshbin already owns a Veyron and several other seven-figure hypercars, so he seems like a trustworthy source in this scenario. He says he’s already signed up to receive the car, meaning pre-orders are open, and the hashtag he used all but confirms the car will indeed be named Chiron after former Bugatti racing driver Louis Chiron.

So far we’ve also heard the Chiron will be powered by the same quad turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine as the Veyron with output bumped to around 1,500 horsepower. A top speed of 288 mph is rumored, and production will be limited to 500 units. A 2016 Geneva Motor Show debut has also been penned for the hypercar, so we’ll have to sit tight until then to know its true specifications.
