Ruf Introduces New RCT At Geneva 2014

Ruf took to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show to unveil its latest Porsche: the Ruf Carrera Turbo (RCT).

Aesthetically, the RCT has a new a unique spoiler and rear-end air intake. Sitting snug in the engine bay lies a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat six producing in the vicinity of 525 horsepower and 502 pound feet of torque. Owners also have a choice of two seven-speed transmissions – one a manual, the other a dual-clutch.

Despite only slight improvements in horsepower and torque, the RCT manages to put up impressive numbers likeĀ 0-60 of 3.5 secondsĀ plus a top speed of 196 mph. What makes Ruf’s offering special, however, is that you can spec an RCT with either RWD and AWD. A turboed Porsche with rear-wheel drive sounds like fun, right? And if you are one of those who would take the RCT to the track, suspension upgrades and a roll-cage can also be acquired via a racing kit.

Porsche already has a crazy list of options that practically makes a 911 a bespoke vehicle, but Ruf adds to the vehicle’s individuality and improves on what they have been doing since 1994.
