Saleen Drops Renderings Of Tuned Tesla Model S

Saleen is a company which is no stranger to modifying high-performance vehicles, after all, it has been upping the performance of Ford’s Mustang since the 1980’s. But the California-based tuner has something a little more forward looking up its sleeve than another modified Mustang, with plans to produce a modified version of Tesla’s all-electric Model S sedan.

Judging by the renderings, Saleen’s makeover includes an all-new front bumper with vented air intakes on the corners and a creased hood. They also show an additional carbon fiber rear diffuser, carbon-ceramic brakes and carbon fiber deckled trim in addition to a larger spoiler and more aggressive rear bumper with brake cooling ducts at the corners.

Saleen vowed to increase the performance of the Tesla Model S earlier this year, but didn’t mention what changes it planned to make to the vehicle’s 416-horsepower, 85 kWh electric motor.

“I fully intend to produce one of the most compelling Tesla’s to ever hit the roadway,” Steve Saleen, company founder and CEO said in a statement.
