After really giving the 2012 Focus a going-over, I’ve realized that the design is too busy for my tastes. Sure, it’s instantly recognizable as being a Ford (and the new Focus), but something about it just doesn’t jive with me.
One designer, a long time ago, told me that a design is “perfect” when a person (who is a not a designer) can draw the overall shape of the car without looking at the vehicle. For me, this isn’t the case — I can’t “grasp” the car’s proportions, the lines are too busy, and the lines of the interior are all over the place (like the non-symmetrical dashboard).
What do you guys think?
I totally agree. I would make the front fascia a little more like the all new Escape. I also hate the side view. I know it is now hip to have cars that have an angular side view, but I am a fan of flat, contemporary side views (I think VW does the best with that.).
I thought the best looking Focus was the second generation European version. The RS was awesome (at least on YouTube and in video games.)
i think it looks nice 😀 i like the rear of it i would tove to have that car 😀 😉
I would of chose the Dart and Cruze’s interior since it looks clean. One of the problems that Ford has is that a lot of people are having trouble with the MyFord Touch and also they have A LOT of buttons on their stripped cars. Fiesta, the New Escape, and Focus for example.
