Euro NCAP have re-evaluated the new Ford Ranger and Focus using a new scoring system introduced for 2012 and have awarded the vehicles five-star ratings. The revised tests are the toughest ever and place increased emphasis on pedestrian safety.
The five-star rating makes the Ranger the safest pickup truck in Europe, as it’s the only vehicle in its class to be awarded five stars.

That’s all gravy, but doesn’t do us Yanks any good if we can’t get our hands on the new Ranger, does it now? But in all seriousness, the new Ranger’s safety value is one of the many examples that Ford is making some of the best cars and trucks in the world.
