2014 North American Auto Show Attracts Over 106,000 Visitors On First Public Day

This public opening day of the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) had the strongest turnout in five years, with a total of 106,560 people passing through the doors of Cobo Hall in downtown Detroit. That’s 3,434 more than who attended the opening day of NAIAS 2013 and an amazing turn out despite the frigid temperatures outside.

Bob Shuman, Chairman of NAIAS, said the showroom floor was packed all day. Attendees snapped pictures of the 500+ vehicles on the floor and engaged in exhibits and activities.

The NAIAS runs through January 26, with prices being $13 for adults, $7 for seniors (65 and older), $7 for children ages 7-12, and free for children 6 and younger (with an adult chaperone). Don’t miss the opportunity to see firsthand all of the new and innovative vehicles taking the stage that we’ve slaved in covering over the last week.
