A Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2014 Lexus IS F rolled off the assembly line in Japan last week. This example, bound for a U.S. customer, marks the end of production for the vehicle.
The IS F was built to compete against the BMW M3 and Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Packed with a 5.0L V8 good for 416 hp and 371 lb-ft of torque, it was coupled to an automatic transmission and Lexus’ most advanced electronic chassis control.
Fortunately for speed addicts, Lexus is planning to replace the void set forth by the IS F with the upcoming RC F. The RC F will preserve the 5.0L V8 engine but will boast more power – 450 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque – and put Lexus back into two-door territory.
