Audi Prices U.S.-Bound 2013 A3 Sedan 1.8T At $29,990, 2.0T At $32,900

Audi of America has just announced U.S. market pricing for its newest vehicle set to go on sale this spring — the 2015 A3 sedan. Pricing for the A3 equipped with the 1.8-liter turbo-charged four-cylinder TFSI engine has been set at $29,900. Upgrading to the 2.0-liter turbo-charged four TFSI will start at 32,900. The prices make the new A3 sedan, which replaces the last-generation five-door A3, the most affordable Audi product in the United States.

Expect all the things you’ve come to know and love about Audi vehicles to present and accounted for in the 2015 A3, including detailed craftsmanship, a sports-oriented driving experience, and exceptional ergonomics. Following Audi tradition, the base trim will called Premium, and include a fairly impressive list of standard equipment, including a panorama glass sunroof, bi-xenon headlights, leather seating surfaces, Audi’s signature Sigleframe grille, and an ultra-thin retractable MMI display.

The next step up will be the Premium Plus trim level. It includes exclusive 18″ 10-spoke-design Audi wheels, an aluminum interior package, and keyless entry, and will cost an additional $2,900. The range-topping trim level will be the $8,800 Prestige package, which includes features seen in Premium Plus, while adding a sportier look with the S Line exterior body kit, Driver Assistance package, Bang & Olufsen Sound System, Audi MMI navigation plus, Audi Connect, Convenience package and full LED headlights. Individual options include Audi drive select, 4G LTE connectivity, and an upgraded Bang & Olufsen sound system.

While the base A3 with the 1.8-liter TFSI engine will be propelled by the front wheels, all A3s equipped with the 2.0-liter engine will include quattro all-wheel-drive that’s capable of distributing power to the wheels that need it most. Both the 1.8- and 2.0-liter engines will be mated to the standard 6-speed S tronic transmission.

Later in 2014, the A3 sedan will be joined by the A3 Cabriolet, A3 TDI clean diesel, and the higher-performance S3 sedan. Then, in early 2015, the range will add the A3 Sportback e-tron — a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).
