Limited-Edition Volkswagen Polo Lounge Introduced In Germany

Previously, we reported that Volkswagen hired Robbie Williams as its new marketing manager who will oversee the introduction of the new Lounge special editions models for the brand. Now, the first of the limited edition models has reached dealers in Germany.

The limited-edition Polo features exterior and interior enhancements for the subcompact VeeDub. Outside, the Polo Lounge model wears smoked taillights, tinted rear windows, a glossy black radiator grille, a Lounge-exclusive set of 15-inch wheels and Lounge badging throughout the car.

The Polo Lounge also brings more creature comforts, including a cruise control system, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate system, auto-dimming rear view mirror, infotainment system with six speakers and ‘coming home’ headlight function.

The Volkswagen Polo Lounge edition will be offered with four gasoline engines and three TDI diesel engines. Pricing for the base 1.0-liter with a 5-speed manual start at 15,200 EUR ($18,140 USD), while the range-topping 90 HP (66 kW) TDI version with the dual-clutch DGS gearbox is priced at 20,375 EUR (24,300 USD).

Volkswagen will also offer special Club and Lounge editions on vehicles ranging from the Up!, to the Golf family, Beetle and Tiguan through the month of January.
