Ford’s future aluminum-paneled, full-size pick-up has only been available in the public eye for a few months, but this has not deterred the Blue Oval from releasing word on its latest range-topping F-150: the King Ranch. Seeing as this is the epitome of what a Ford luxury truck should be, the men and women from Ford have thrown all of their available premium resources at the King and adorned it with innumerable little niceties for those in the market for a near-$50k pickup.
With a markedly higher-quality interior featuring impressive leather hides throughout and finished with a rugged western-themed bits and pieces, the King will likely feel better than ever,. On the outside, the F-150 is more of a paint and badge affair, with the release of four new hues in a tasteful two-tone design for the King to distinguish itself from lesser, plebian F-150s.
Ford has yet to release the available engines for the King Ranch, but one can expect the highest-output engines (Ecoboost or otherwise) to reside under the all-aluminum hood when it reaches dealers later in 2014. Competing with the likes of Ram and GM’s most exclusive luxury pickups will be no easy task, but Ford is expecting their latest entrant will give the pair of giants a run for their money and cash-in big from their perennial best seller.
