850 Jobs Added To Support 2015 Ford F-150 Production

Ford Motor Company is ramping up production of the all-new 2015 Ford F-150 and, in order to meet consumer demand, it will hire an additional 850 support employees.

“As customer anticipation for the all-new 2015 Ford F-150 continues to build, today we are bringing on 850 new jobs to help meet the market demand for the toughest, smartest, most capable F-150 ever,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas. “The new truck sets new standards for the future of tough – right down to how it’s built.”

This news comes as the major renovation of the Dearborn Truck, Stamping and Diversified facilities wraps up. The plants were completely revamped the plant for the 2015 Ford F-150.

Overall, the additional jobs help Ford further exceed its commitment to creating U.S. jobs. This commitment was reached during the 2011 UAW contract talks. The goal is to add 12,000 hourly jobs by 2015. Currently, Ford has added a total of 14,000.
