2015 Mustang GT Point-Of-View Test Drive: Video

With over 9.2 million units sold since its April 1964 launch, today’s Ford Mustang is a modern interpretation of the original. However, the 2015 model is not just some parts-bin special with classic long-hood/short deck styling − it’s a legit global sports car with all the rough edges of the previous model fixed and addressed. So what’s it like to drive Ford‘s latest and greatest?

Winding Road magazine had the opportunity to drive this “secretary’s car” in GT trim level and the Performance Pack, which is currently at the top of the Mustang totem pole, at least until the Mustang Shelby GT350 hits the street. Weighing in at about 3,800 pounds, the 2015 Ford Mustang GT is no lightweight, but handles its weight quite well. In fact, Ford claims that the 2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack will run faster laps than the last-generation’s limited-edition Boss 302, with Winding Road adding that they can’t tell from the seat of the pants, but that the “element of suspension refinement and predictability has undoubtedly made the car easier to dance with at the limit.”

Watch the below POV video for their driving impressions.
