European Union Ford Sales Up 4.4 Percent To 65,211 Units In December 2014

Ford dealers deliveries increased across Europe in December 2014, posting the following results across sections of the region:

European Union: 65,211 units sold, up 4.4 percent from the 62,492 vehicles sold in December 2013
European Union + EFTA countries: 67,117 units sold, up 4.2 percent from the 64,412 vehicles sold in December 2013
European Union + EFTA countries: 62,435 units sold, up 3.6 percent from the 60,255 vehicles sold in December 2013

Though Ford Europe was able to grow total sales across the ultra-competitive region, its market share either stayed flat or decreased slightly, a circumstance explained by the fact that the new car market in the regions grew at the same rate or faster than Ford was able to grow its sales.
