Performance-Enhancing Software Patch For Tesla Model S P85D Is Coming

Remember the alleged software patch for the Tesla Model S P85D that would unlock the “true” potential of the electric car’s dual motors? Well, it’s happening, and soon.
Road & Track shared the news, citing a number of Tweets from CEO Elon Musk’s personal Twitter account. According to Musk, the Model S P85D’s 0 to 60 time should improve by about 0.1 seconds after the update finishes installing. That’s an improvement of just over 3 percent, but when you get down into the low digits (3.2 seconds at present), that’s certainly not nothing.
The “un-D” (see what we did there?) Model S P85 should also see an acceleration improvement, though with only one drive motor, it won’t be quite so significant. Perhaps the coolest thing about the software patch is that it will transmit to customer cars automatically, through telekinesis, or radio waves, or some such.
Remember OBD II updates? Pah! How last-century.
Of course, after telling the Twittering world of the impending update, Musk had to Tweet again to remind owners of the practical reasons for the patch:
Tesla dual motor cars are also all-wheel drive. Main goal of dual motor was actually insane traction on snow. Insane speed was a side effect
There is a lot to be said about this car, that clearly stands apart from any competition. BMW, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and all other auto manufacturers stop folding under this pressure. FCV are EV hybrids – fact. Hybrid or range extenders is a cop out – fact. Start from scratch and build an all electric vehicle. The EV platform has proven itself in any weather. From start to finish, EV is the future. Grow some b*lls, and get to work. The EV Revolution as Begun, and time is running out.

The best keeps getting better. The awesomeness of a seven passenger executive sedan that will run with the like of today’s 2 seat super car. Beyond a super car itself, able to be updated world wide with just the push of a button. Once again proving the EV’s platform superior capabilities.
Updates faster with user interface, able to leap 0 to 60 in a single bound. Look at it fly, it a Ferrari, it a Bugatti, no it Supercar. Supercar, disguised as mild mannered Tesla Model S85D fights a never ending battle for fun to drive, the environment and the EV Revolution.
“The Revolution will not be televised”, but it will be electrified. EVs RULE !!
