By The Numbers: Ford U.S. Sales Rise 16% In December 2011
In December, Ford Motor Company sales increased by 10 percent year-over-year to 210,140 units. Ford brand sales represented 201,737 vehicles — a 15.6 percent year-over-year increase while Lincoln sales increased 4.3 percent year-over-year to 8,403 units.
Ford models that saw an increase in sales included the Focus, Escape, Edge, Explorer, F-Series trucks, Ranger, Econoline, and Transit Connect. Surprisingly, sales of the Fiesta, Fusion, Taurus, and Mustang declined.
