Ford Looks Back On 1 Million Mustangs From Flat Rock Assembly: Video

Nine years after moving production of the Mustang from Dearborn to its Flat Rock Assembly plant, Ford celebrated the completion of the one millionth Mustang built there. That was back in 2013, and Flat Rock Assembly has since been re-tooled to accommodate production of the sixth-generation Mustang, but Ford hasn’t forgot about the ‘one millionth’ milestone.

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the Mustang nameplate, so Ford is spending it looking back on the model’s history in addition to rolling out some of the most impressive variations of the pony car of all time. Recently, they posted a video of Ford product chief Raj Nair attending the Flat Rock plant as the one millionth car rolled off its production line, a special moment in the modern Mustang timeline.

Check out the video below to see the one millionth Flat Rock-built Mustang’s completion. As you read this, there is likely an all-new Mustang rolling off the same line, so it’s only a matter of time before Ford celebrates the two millionth Flat Rock Mustang.
