2013 Ford Escape To Offer MyFord Touch

Not that it should come as a great surprise, but we thought we’d point out that the 2013 Ford Escape will join The Blue Oval’s list of vehicles offering the state-of-the-art MyFord Touch infotainment system.

Ford has officially confirmed the availability of MyFord Touch in a recent press release announcing updates to the system. For comparison, the current-generation Escape only offers SYNC — the predecessor to MyFord Touch.

Additionally, the new Escape will offer a class-exclusive handsfree tailgate opening system and, according to Ford CEO Alan Mulally, will “change the world.”

The excitement for Ford’s new crossover, which will be built on Ford’s global C architecture and no longer try to be a truck-based compact offering, builds ahead of its unveiling at the L.A. Auto Show!
