Motor Trend recently sat down with Volkswagen of America CEO Michael Horn, who admitted the next-gen VW CC may have a roofline similar to the Audi A7‘s.
“Two versions are being studied, and we’re seriously looking at a fastback version as one of them,” said Horn.
Additionally, due to higher import costs and a rising Euro, the next CC could also be built in North America. “”With the cost of production going up, we’re looking at the business case, but maybe there’s another option, of waiting 2-3 years and getting the CC built here in the U.S. [Chattanooga, TN] or in Mexico.”
