During the same week as Audi Sport won its 13th victory at Le Mans and drove away victorious in the challenging Nuerburgring 24 hour race, Audi Sport customer racing won at the Pirelli World Challenge at Road America at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
Piloting the Hawk Performance Brakes Audi R8 LMS ultra, Mike Skeen captured the top podium at both races in the GT class, earning valuable driver and manufacturer points. CRP Racing is the latest team to have joined the Audi Sport customer racing family earlier this year. The Hawk Performance Brakes Audi R8 LMS ultra maintains its standard GT3 setup provided by Audi Sport customer racing, substantiating the performance, durability, and speed of the Audi R8 LMS ultra on tracks around the world.
In addition, Bill Ziegler from GMG Racing placed second in the GTA class during the Round 7 race on Friday, with Wisconsin native team owner and driver Jeff Courtney took an impressive third place in both races.
“It’s a proud moment to see three of our teams have success during this weeks’ double header,” said Brad Kettler, Director of Operations at Audi Sport Customer Racing. “The original set-up provided by the Audi Sport customer racing team continues to prove itself as competitive and this weekend very successful.”
