The Cost Of Having Lunch With Ford’s Mark Fields

If you want to have lunch with me, it’ll cost you nothing other than our time, although I may hit you up for some dessert. For CEO of Ford Motor Company, Mark Fields, it’ll cost you at least $80,000. It doesn’t come with truffle-laced caviar or foie gras − not even an ounce of Wagyu beef.

But that’s the current high bid according to online auction site Charitybuzz, which raises money for nonprofits with the help of celebrities and brands. The winner and a guest will have the opportunity to dine with Fields in Ford’s penthouse in Dearborn, Michigan.

The proceeds will benefit Detroit charity Focus: HOPE, a nonprofit that works to end racism, poverty and injustice in Detroit through education and community initiatives. According to Ford, Focus: HOPE’s work is “to train people for information technology and engineering jobs is critical to our business.”

The auction is scheduled to close at 3 pm EDT today, so you still have a few hours to get in your bid.
