Demystifying Bugatti Veyron Prices

Ten years ago, the Bugatti Veyron claimed the top-speed crown when it arrived on the scene with a staggering 1,001 horsepower from its massive 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine. Quite obviously, that level of performance commanded exclusive prices, and now we have an idea of how much a Bugatti Veyron actually costs thanks to Bold Rides.

When the Bugatti Veyron launched initially as the Veyron 16.4 coupe, the car sported an even €1,000,000 price tag, or about $1.19 million USD at today’s exchange rates. After positive market reception, Bugatti bumped the price tag to €1.2 million ($1.43 million USD). The follow-up to the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 coupe came as the Grand Sport, ringing in at €1.4 million ($1.67 million USD). It was then followed by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, which added even more power and was even more expensive, with the model checking in at a cool €1.65 million ($1.96 million USD). Finally, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse was priced at a lofty $2.01 million dollars before the final cars are sold out. And with only eight new Veyrons remaining for sale as of this writing, Bugatti might also make a final special-edition roadster that would likely command an even higher price than the current Sport Vitesse.

BUGATTI VEYRON PRICING
BUGATTI VEYRON MODEL PRICE IN USD
BUGATTI VEYRON 16.4 COUPE: $1.19 MILLION
BUGATTI VEYRON PRICE BUMP: $1.43 MILLION
BUGATTI VEYRON GRAND SPORT: $1.67 MILLION
BUGATTI VEYRON SUPER SPORT: $1.96 MILLION
BUGATTI VEYRON GRAND SPORT VITESSE: $2.01 MILLION

Note that these prices do not include any form of customization from the buyer and also exclude taxes and other charges. According to Bold Rides, customers spend up to $2.38 million dollars on average to personalize their Veyrons, and those figures tend to be even higher with special editions and unique customer orders.

We’d have to believe that the upcoming Bugatti Veyron successor, which will likely be called Chiron, will drive the price point upwards even further. To note, the Chiron is said to pack up to 1,500 horsepower and utilize electric turbos.

And so we ask: with your pocketbooks ready, does one of the final Bugatti Veyrons have your name on it?
