Martini To Return To Formula One With Williams Sponsorship Deal

Martini and its iconic red, white and blue race livery will return to Formula One this year after signing a deal with the Williams Formula One team. The report comes from Autosport, and although it hasn’t been confirmed yet, the partnership seems like it will come to fruition.

Autosport’s sources revealed to them a deal had been reached for Martini to be a banner sponsor with Williams, turning the team into Williams-Martini racing. Further supporting the claims are images of a Martini-branded Williams shirt, which leaked on the internet earlier this month and have since been taken down.

Williams is currently sorting out its lineup of sponsors for the 2014 season. A deal with insurance company Grenworth has been reached and the team is also expected receive support from Petronas. The finalised Martini livery will probably not be revealed until the other deals have been fully worked out, though Williams has said its livery will debut before the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.
