Audi Beats 2013 U.S. Sales Record In 2014 With One Month To Spare

Audi has announced that it has set an annual sales record in the United States. Achieved on the weekend of November 29th and 30th 2014, the new record surpasses the previous record set in 2013, and marks the fifth-consecutive record year for the brand.

Notably, Audi set the new milestone one full month before the end of 2014. The brand indicates that by the end of December 2014, it expects to register 48 consecutive monthly sales records, the longest-running streak in the U.S. auto industry.

“Audi is making consistent progress in the upper echelon of America’s premium automobile segment,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. “These gains reflect the benefits of a brand strategy built on sustainable sales growth, a network of passionate dealers, balanced pricing and, of course, compelling new models.”

In addition, Audi Certified pre-owned vehicles also established a new annual record in November by selling over 42,000 vehicles to date. The previous record set in 2013 was 40,190 CPO vehicles sold.

Besides establishing new annual sales records for new and Certified pre-owned vehicles, Audi has also set new and Certified pre-owned sales records for the first ten months of 2014, and expect to do so in November as well. Other notable accomplishments include sustained gains in customer awareness and higher average transaction prices, reflecting the sustained appeal at top end of the U.S. luxury market.
