Dodge Introduces Mopar Scat Pack 2 And 3 For Charger, Challenger

While muscle cars powered by the lauded, 707 HP Dodge Hellcat V8 remain scarce and costly, often selling for significantly more than the MSRP, there are alternatives for the Charger and Challenger fan.

Easily the best of these is the Mopar Scat Pack kit of performance upgrades.

The stage 1 Mopar Scat Pack was introduced last year to warm reception, but now, FCA has expanded its range of Scat Pack offerings to include Mopar Scat Pack 2 and Scat Pack 3 kits, each delivering an even bigger power boost than the automaker had originally planned.

The two new levels of Mopar Scat Pack are available for 5.7-liter Hemi-powered Chargers and Challengers, at an absurdly agreeable price; the Level 2 kit comes in at just $1,895, to the Level 3 kit’s $4,495. Building on the stage 1 Mopar Scat Pack kit, these new packages boost power by 56 and 75 horsepower, respectively, and torque by 30 or 44 lb-ft.

In the case of the Mopar Scat Pack 2 kit, those gains are achieved with an optimized camshaft, valve springs, and upgraded pushrods. Beefier tie bars are also included to help put all that power down to the road. The Mopar Scat Pack 3 kit builds upon that, adding CNC-ported heads, high-flow intake manifolds and catalytic converters, plus improved exhaust manifolds and adapters.

Again, all that has an MSRP of just $4,495.

These two higher level Mopar Scat Pack kits will work with any 5.7-liter V8-powered Dodge Charger or Challenger from model year 2011 to 2015. Better yet, since the packages are coming direct from Mopar, you can rest assured that your warranty remains in effect after the upgrades.
